It’s so cold right now in Chicago and Michigan that I’m already dreaming about warmer days! On that note, it’s not too early to start thinking about how to hit the ground running and maximize that good weather once it’s finally here. I’m so over winter, so it’s time to start thinking about spring entertaining! One of my favorite events in 2018 was hosting a Cinco de Mayo party! It’s something I had been thinking about for over a year and finally made happen. I planned an intimate, specially curated cocktail party! Guests enjoyed delicious, handcrafted Mexican inspired cocktails made by Argelia of Vida Mia Cocktails. She demonstrated how to make three different margaritas and provided guests with the recipes so they could make them at home for their next fiesta!
In addition, Chef Frank of G Market Chef prepared and served mouth-watering small bites & heavy appetizers. I hosted the event at Standout Style Boutique, so guests were able to shop their spring collection while enjoying the food and beverages!
Highlights from the event are below!
Drinks: Argelia of Vida Mia Cocktails created a delicious margarita flight of: Hibiscus Margarita, Mezcal Margarita, and Spicy Cucumber Margarita
Food: Chef Frank of G Market Chef created delicious interpretations of Mexican classics. Appetizers included Avocado “Toast”ada, Ceviche Shooters, Elote Bites, Chorizo Egg Rolls, and an Inside-Out Quesadilla!
Boutique: Guests enjoyed shopping the latest styles at Standout Style Boutique! The outfit I wore featured items from the store (blazer and jeans).
